Personalized "Play Haven" We co-created with this proud grandma!
The lower level of this beautiful home on Summit Ave. was begging to be utilized, and what better way than an open play area for the grandchildren! The walls and fireplace area were not safe and needed repair, so we created a wonderful play wall, complete with chalk board and new shelving. Here are a few before and after photos-
Then it was time for creative FUN! Each of the grandchildren were asked to make a list of the things they love, and I painted the walls with their names surrounded by all the great things that make them smile. We even included the family dog - Orca, and a playhouse under the stairway! Additional things can be added as they grow, and we even left room for a new grandchild expected at the end of this year! What a wonderful open area to play and create!!
Loved this "Lemons to Lemonade" Story
The SeaChange Employee Lounge
In every story worth telling there is some challenge encountered and successfully conquered. With that, it's fair to say that most complex design projects have their fair share of stories and this is one colorful example.
The SeaChange Employee Lounge was intended to be an industrially durable space that would still emote the company's bold brand. To keep the flooring durable, yet interesting, the space design included the installation of tile "rugs". A beautiful wood grain embossed tile was selected and ordered from Italy to create the inset statment.
Our challenge came when the installer began to pull the long-awaited tile from the shipping box noticed that the finish of the tile (commercial graded floor tile) scratched off easily...our story's LEMONS!
Just how did we make Lemonade from this scenario?
With the help of a cooperative vendor we were credited for the purchase of the tile and as return shipping costs were prohibitive, could kept the tile. Fortuitously we connected with Artisan Sheryl VanderPol who skillfully hand-fired the tile to our brand specifications with a beautiful and durable finish. Ultimately, the result was an even better match to the company's brand and the floor has a great story to share.
Check out Sheryl' VanderPol's website to see more of her work.
Vessel Sink with a story...
This beautiful Kohler shallow pool Vessel sink was created from a beautiful concept. The owner sent photos and ideas, and the design was created. It was shipped to FL and am awaiting installation photos and comments from the homeowners.

Free-flowing, Fresh and Feminine
This nursery is like a breath of fresh air! Perfectly coordinated for the room, furniture, and bedding. Plus, we thought ahead for when she grows, moves into her big-girl bed, and made room for unique additions when she is ready to tell us what she loves.
The nursery comes alive with this trendy - tree mural. We plan for the perfect size, positioning, and color coordination.
Co-Creating at it's Best
I love working with creative thinkers! As I always say-"Everyone is a true Artist...when you follow your passion."
For client Janet Deming, one who has always followed her passion through travel, dance, friends and family, this co-creation project was incredible. Having recently moved to this great A Mill Artist Loft, creating a unique backsplash was a challenging endeavor. She wanted to visually honor the places she loves spending time, her St. Anthony Main neighborhood, and her second love-New Orleans, so we took artistic license to illustrate a whimsical version of streets, buildings and scores of symbols and characters with special hidden meaning to Janet. Even with the abundance of work in the detail, I loved the outcome. The mono-chromatic coloring made the stainless appliances and cabinetry look wonderful. Janet speaks of her experience with this creative process..."Having worked with Sheryl before, I knew what was possible. So, even though I could not envision it, I explained my desires, and we began the process of co-creating. The result was a fantastic piece of art, and one of my favorite conversation pieces among my other treasures."
