This nursery is like a breath of fresh air! Perfectly coordinated for the room, furniture, and bedding. Plus, we thought ahead for when she grows, moves into her big-girl bed, and made room for unique additions when she is ready to tell us what she loves.

A dozen years ago, my artwork was highlighted in the Travel Channel's show "Passport to Design" featuring a facelift of this historic home on Nicollet Island. The home is now up for sale, and the owner says the hardest thing to leave is the custom artwork throughout. So , I decided to reminisce and share the wonderful elements created for this world traveler:
I love people who love art, and my recent client is certainly one who loves unique art! It all started with a special design to be painted on a precious end table. When I was invited to her home, I noticed all her wonderful unique art, especially her large free-standing horse sculpture on wheels made of wood and metal that she acquired while living in CA (behind the hand painted table). photo #1 Then on Halloween, her beautiful cat decided to jump on for a ride, tipping it, braking the sculpture in two. Not being able to repair, and wanting to immortalize her artwork in some way, she thought of her "Untapped Resource" and gave me a call.
With the cat supervising, we began to create a mural on the wall. photo #2 - #3. A whimsical play area was created from this unused under-the-stairway space. Colorful hand-painting was a real asset for this TJB home. Perfect space to play and store toys - out of sight!
This hand-painted mural was the inspiration of a creative mommy and her choice of Pottery Barn-Kids bedding. The colors were matched to all surroundings, and will grow along with the baby.
